How to reuse the same character, thing, or place in your videos

Elements are people, things, and places that you save once with a photo and reuse in any video. When you @mention an element in your script, we feed its photo to the image model, so the element looks the same in every scene and every video. The look comes from the photo, not from a text description.


How do I save an element?


  1. Go to the elements page.
  2. Pick a tab: Characters, Things, or Places.
  1. Add a new element.
  2. Click Add a photo and upload a clear photo of the person, animal, mascot, object, or place.
  1. Give it a short name. The name becomes its @mention.
  2. Save.


The photo is what we use to generate the visuals. Pick a photo that shows the element clearly.


How do I put an element in a video?


  1. Start a video and write or paste your script.
  2. Click Elements under the script box.
  1. Pick your element. Its @mention is inserted where your cursor is, for example @Red-Shirt for an element named "Red Shirt".
  2. Generate the video as usual. Every scene that mentions the element uses its photo.


You can also type the @mention by hand. Spaces in the name become dashes.


Where do @mentions work?


You can insert elements in the faceless video script and prompt, in the music video visuals step, and in the avatar video form.


Do elements change how my video looks?


The @mentioned element keeps a consistent look because its photo guides the image generation. The rest of your chosen style still applies. Elements need AI-generated visuals; stock footage cannot use a reference photo, so we switch those scenes to AI images when your script mentions an element.
