Faceless videos
A faceless video is a video you make without a camera or your face. You give AITuber a script or an idea. AITuber writes the voiceover with an AI voice, adds visuals, and adds captions that match each spoken word. This is the default video type in AITuber, and it works for Shorts, TikTok, Reels, and long YouTube videos.
What do I need?
- A script, or just an idea. AITuber can write the script for you.
- Credits. The cost depends on video length and the visual quality you pick.
- A free account is enough for Moving AI Images, Stock Video, and Background Video. AI Video needs an active plan.
- To download the video, your account must have had a paid plan at least once.
How do I create a faceless video?
- Open the video creation page.
- Type your idea, or paste your full script. You can add visual directions in [brackets], like
[a storm over the ocean].
- Pick a visual type: Moving AI Images, AI Video, Stock Video, or Background Video. AI Video shows a lock if you have no active plan.
- For Background Video, select one clip or upload your own. For AI visuals, pick a quality tier. The credit cost per scene or per second shows next to each tier.
- Pick a voice. You can preview each voice before you choose.
- Pick an aspect ratio: 9:16 for Shorts, TikTok, and Reels, or 16:9 for YouTube.
- Click Generate. The cost estimate shows on the button before you confirm.
Your video appears in the videos list when it is done.
What visual types can I choose?

Basic AI images are the cheapest option, at about 20 credits per minute. Stock Video sits between Basic and Good images at 50 credits per minute. AI Video looks the most dynamic and costs the most.
AI Video needs an active plan. Without one you can still select the card, but Generate opens the plans instead of starting the video. Moving AI Images, Stock Video, and Background Video work on a free account.
How much does a faceless video cost?
Every faceless video also includes the AI voice at 30 credits per minute. A video gets about 20 scenes per minute.

Example: a 1-minute video with Good AI images costs about 30 + (20 x 5) = 130 credits. What each video type costs for full pricing.
What are the limits?
- Maximum length: 20 minutes.
- Maximum script: 30,000 characters.
- If generation fails, your credits come back automatically.
How does Background Video work?
Choose Background Video, then open Your Video or a library category. Select one clip. It repeats at normal speed for the full voiceover. A longer clip ends when the narration ends. The picture is cropped to fill your chosen aspect ratio.
Under Your Video, upload an H.264 MP4 up to 500MB and 4K. The clip must be 5 seconds to 10 minutes long. We use your uploaded video without conversion. If the app rejects it, export it as a standard 8-bit H.264 MP4 and try again.
The clip's sound is muted. Your voiceover and selected background music play over it. A one-minute video uses 40 credits: 30 for the voice and 10 for the background. Uploading and browsing clips use no credits.
Scroll the video row sideways to see more clips. On a computer, hover over a library clip to preview it. On a phone, use its preview button. For a portrait library clip, Sample video shows a finished example from that category when one is available. Select Selected clip to check your exact clip and crop. Custom uploads, square videos, and landscape videos show the clip preview. Your voiceover, captions, and selected music appear after generation.
Library categories can be empty until clips are added. You can still upload your own clip. Background Video is not available for Autopilot.
Can I use my own images?
Yes. You can upload your own images, and you can save people, places, and things to reuse later. See How to add your own images to a video.
Can I edit the video after it is made?
