Avatar videos

An avatar video turns one photo into a talking-head video. The avatar speaks your script with an AI voice, or lip-syncs to audio you upload. Use it for spokesperson clips, product promos, and personal-brand content without filming yourself.


What do I need?


  • A character. Pick a saved character element or create one from a photo.
  • A script and a voice, OR your own audio file.
  • Credits. Avatar video costs 480 credits per minute.
  • An active plan. Avatar videos are made with AI Video, which needs an active plan. Without one, Generate shows a lock and opens the plans instead of starting the video.
  • To download, your account must have had a paid plan at least once.


How do I create an avatar video?


  1. Open avatar page.
  2. Under Choose a character, pick a character or add a new one from a photo.
  1. Optional: click Add a product to show a product the avatar holds or wears.
  2. Under Speech, use the Write a script tab and type what the avatar should say, then pick a Voice. Or use the Upload audio tab and upload your own recording.
  1. Pick Video Format: Portrait (9:16) or Landscape (16:9). Match it to your photo's orientation so the face is not cropped.
  2. Optional: add Motion Instructions, Background Music, and captions.
  3. Click Generate. The credit estimate shows before you confirm.


My photo was refused


The photo is checked in your browser before it is uploaded. It must be:


  • A JPEG, PNG, or WebP file.
  • At most 25 MB.
  • At least 512 by 512 pixels.
  • A clear, well lit picture with the face visible.


If you see "this image contains inappropriate content", an automatic check has flagged it. The
check only looks for explicit images, and it runs on your device without anyone seeing the
photo. It can be wrong. Try a different picture of the same person: a plain background, good
light, and the face facing the camera usually passes.


If a photo you are sure about keeps being refused, send us a message in the chat and we will
look at it.


Can I upload my own voice audio?


Yes. Use the Upload audio tab. The avatar lip-syncs to your file, and you skip the AI voice cost.


  • Formats: MP3, WAV, M4A.
  • Maximum size: 25 MB.
  • Maximum length: 5 minutes.


Can I have two presenters in one video?


No. An avatar video has one presenter. You pick one character, and that character speaks the
whole script.


For two people, you have two choices. Make one avatar video for each person and join them in
the editor. Or make a faceless video
and mention up to four saved characters, places, or things in the script, so several of them
can appear in the same scene. In a faceless video the voice is a narrator, not the characters
speaking.


Can you lip sync a video I already have?


No. We lip sync a photo, not a video.


Give us one still picture of a face and either a script or an audio file, and we build the
talking video from that. We cannot take a video you made somewhere else, or a clip from your
camera, and move the mouth on it. There is no way to upload a video for this.


The same applies to songs. We do not make a person in a video sing along to a track.


If you want a video of someone speaking your words, start from a photo of them and let us make
the whole clip.

What are the limits?


  • Maximum length: 5 minutes, for both scripts and uploaded audio.
  • Maximum script: 10,000 characters. Minimum: 25 characters (about 5 words).
  • Aspect ratios: 9:16 and 16:9 only.
  • If generation fails, your credits come back automatically.


Which plan do I need?


You need an active plan and enough credits. Avatar videos are made with AI Video, and AI Video needs an active plan. Without one, Generate opens the plans instead of starting the video.
