My channel will not connect or says access denied

Most channel connection failures come from the permission screen on the platform's side. Try the connection again, and allow every permission it asks for. The fixes below cover the common cases.

The connection fails or says access denied

  1. Go to the publish page and open the Accounts tab.
  2. Click Connect Account and pick the platform again.
  3. On the platform's permission screen, allow everything it asks for. For Google, tick every checkbox. If a permission is missing, we cannot post for you, and the connection fails.
  4. Make sure you pick the right account on the platform's sign-in screen, not another account you are also logged into.
  5. If it still fails, try again in a private (incognito) window.

"Connection canceled" means the permission screen was closed before it finished. Just try again.

YouTube says the account has no channel

That Google account has no YouTube channel. Create a channel on YouTube first, then connect again. Pick the Google account that owns the channel you want to post to.

Instagram or Facebook will not connect

  • Instagram needs a Professional or Creator account. Switch the account type in the Instagram app, then connect again.
  • Facebook posts to a Facebook Page you manage. A personal profile without a Page cannot connect.

My channel shows "Token expired" or asks me to reconnect

The platform ended the old connection. On the Accounts tab, find the channel card and click Reconnect, then approve access again. Your scheduled posts are not lost. Some older YouTube and TikTok connections also show a Reconnect note; reconnecting moves them to our newer, more reliable connection.

Still stuck?

Send us a message in the chat bubble. Tell us the platform name and add a screenshot of the error you see. We can then check the connection on our side.
