# UGC reaction hooks

A UGC reaction hook is a short ad-style video in two parts: first a person reacts on camera with your hook text on top, then your own product demo video plays. You pick a reaction clip from our library or generate a custom one, add hook text, and upload your demo. This format is built for product promos on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.

## What do I need?

- An active paid plan. Creating UGC videos and custom reactions needs a current subscription.
- Hook text, or an idea for one. AITuber can generate hook ideas for 2 credits.
- Your demo video (optional). This is your own screen recording or product clip that plays after the reaction.
- Credits.

## What does "demo" mean here?

The demo is YOUR video: a screen recording of your app, a product clip, or any footage you upload. It plays right after the reaction hook. The demo is always muted in the final video, because the hook text carries the message. A demo is optional; you can also make a hook-only video.

## How do I create a UGC reaction hook?

1. Open [UGC hooks page](https://app.aituber.app/dashboard/ugc-hook).
2. Pick a reaction clip from the library. The samples show real people with different reactions; the names and tags describe the person and the mood.

3. Or generate a custom reaction from a character photo. Pick **Good** or **Premium** quality.
4. Type your hook text, or click generate to get AI hook ideas (2 credits).

5. Upload your demo video. Maximum 3 minutes.

6. Preview the full video, then save, export, or publish it.

## How much does a UGC reaction hook cost?

## What are the limits?

- Demo video: 3 minutes maximum.
- Creating the final video and generating custom reactions both need an active paid plan.
- The demo audio is muted in the final video.
- If a custom reaction fails to generate, your credits come back automatically.

## Can I change how the hook text looks?

Yes, after you make the video. On the creation page you choose only where the
text sits: top, centre, or bottom. Every hook uses the same bold style, so you
do not have to pick one.

To change the look, open the video and click **Edit** to open the editor.
Select the hook text layer. You can then change the words, the font, the size,
the colour, the outline, the background, and the left, centre, or right
alignment.

## Can I use my own face as the reaction?

Yes. Generate a custom reaction from your own photo. The AI animates the photo into a short reaction clip at Good (50 credits) or Premium (150 credits) quality.
