# AI Construction Timelapse videos

An AI construction timelapse is a short video of one place changing from messy or empty to finished. The camera stays still. There is no voiceover and no captions. You hear background music and the sounds of the work. The last few seconds always show the finished place in use, not standing empty. You can type a prompt, add before and after photos, or both.

## What do I need?

- A prompt that describes the change, a before photo, an after photo, or any mix of these. Example: "A dirty canal becomes a park with paths and lights."
- Credits. Construction timelapses use more credits than a faceless video, so check the estimate before you generate.
- An active paid plan. This video type is made entirely of AI video, and AI video needs a paid plan. A free account can open the page and set up the prompt, but **Generate** asks you to pick a plan.

## How do I create a construction timelapse?

1. Open the [AI Construction Timelapse page](https://app.aituber.app/dashboard/rebuild).
2. Type what changes. Describe the place at the start and at the finish.

3. Optional: add a before photo of the start, an after photo of the finish, or both.

4. Pick a quality: **Basic**, **Good**, or **Premium**.

5. Pick a length, from 15 seconds to 1 minute.

6. Click **Generate**. The credit estimate shows before you confirm.

There is no script tab, no voice picker, and no captions for this type.

## What goes in the box?

Only your words. Say what the place is now and what it becomes, then pick a length. Examples sit under the box if you want a starting point.

This type does not use saved elements, and it has no idea generator. The video is one real place changing, so there is nothing for a saved person or product to do in it, and the planner turns down anything that is not a place.

## Can I use my own pictures?

Yes. Pictures are optional and stay hidden until you ask for them. Open **Reference Images (Optional)** under the prompt box.

- A **Before** picture becomes the first frame of the video.
- An **After** picture becomes the last frame.
- We draw every frame between them, and we keep the camera at the same angle as your picture.
- You can use a prompt only, pictures only, or both.

The place does not have to exist yet. A photo, a drawing, or a render all work, so you can hand us a design of the finished build as the After picture.

If you add no picture, your prompt must describe a place that changes. A prompt about a lecture, a joke, or a product review will not generate.

Uploaded pictures cost nothing. They replace stills we would have generated, so your total is a little lower.

Use JPG, PNG, or WebP. Each file can be up to 25 MB.

## What is the difference between the quality levels?

The app describes the three tiers like this:

Every tier includes the sounds of the work. Stills are extra. See the cost section below.

## Can I get a thumbnail?

Yes. Turn on **Create thumbnail** under Advanced Settings before you generate.

For this video type we build the cover from two real frames of your own video: the finished place and the way it started. You get a split image with the finished place taking the larger share, and a short headline over it. Nothing on the cover is invented, because both halves are frames the video actually shows.

You can type your own thumbnail instructions to change the wording or the look. Your instructions win over ours.

## How much does a construction timelapse cost?

There is no voice charge. You pay for stills plus AI video.

The longer the video, the more stills we make. A 30 second video uses 5 stills. A 60 second video uses 8 stills. Each uploaded photo replaces one still.

Example: a 30 second Basic video with no photos costs 290 credits. That is 5 stills at 10 credits each, plus 30 seconds at 8 credits per second. A 60 second Basic video with no photos costs 560 credits. The same 60 second Basic video with both photos costs 540 credits. ## What are the limits?

- Length: 15 seconds to 1 minute. The finished video is about as long as the length you pick.
- There is no voiceover and no captions.
- Aspect ratio defaults to 9:16 (vertical).
- If generation fails, your credits come back automatically.
